Description Copy: When Samuelle first started her business, she was told she needed to narrow down her focus and find a niche. That’s the moment she decided to prove them wrong. Samuelle was going to carve her own path and make her makeup business exactly what she wanted it to be. Her first experience with makeup came when she first saw her mom put on red lipstick. Instantly, Samuelle saw her mother become more powerful and confident. Today, she radiates that same energy when she puts on her own red lipstick, and it’s the same energy she reveals within her clients. Growing up in North Carolina, Samuelle had a hard time accepting her own beauty because she looked different than the people around her. Soon, she realized true beauty came from within—a realization that paved the way for her business philosophy. Combining her psychology degree with her makeup skills, Samuelle makes each person who sits in her chair feel emboldened, courageous and deserving of celebration. GoDaddy Websites + Marketing’s easy-to-use website builder allowed Samuelle to create a beautiful website that shows off her services and portfolio. Fueled by a love for her daughter, her gift of cosmetology and the support of her city, there’s nothing Samuelle can’t achieve.
Serving NOLA to North Loo
A Taste of Panama & New Orleans in Minnesota with Guacaya Bistreaux
Description Copy: Growing up between New Orleans and Panama, Pedro saw firsthand how food brings people together, no matter where they’re from or what language they speak. After becoming a US citizen and migrating to the United States, Pedro met his wife and moved back to her home state of Minnesota. With her by his side, he founded Guacaya Bistreaux, blending together Latin, Cajun and Caribbean cuisines. His restaurant is welcoming for all, filled with little moments and nicknacks that give a nod to the city of New Orleans and Pedro’s Panama roots. The unique blend of flavors brings a new offering to the North Loop neighborhood, giving folks the chance to come together over a new type of food they might otherwise not get to try. Pedro is always striving to give back to his community, hiring immigrants and minorities, and even serving meals to protestors during the George Floyd and Black Lives Matter protests. GoDaddy does the heavy lifting for Pedro online, helping him manage his website, look at stats and keep his offerings up to date so he can spend his time focusing on growing his business one delicious tapas plate at a time.
Description Copy: Missing the taste of home, Mia decided to take a chance and bring this unique version of crepes to Minneapolis to share with her community. Putting a spin on classic French crepes, Ichigo features Tokyo-style crepes — a standard crepe base topped with sweet or savory ingredients and rolled up like an ice cream cone. A far cry from the busyness of Tokyo, Minneapolis welcomed Mia (and her crepes) with open arms. While running a pop-up at a local coffee shop, an investor stopped by and offered her a permanent space on his property. Betting on herself and rising above the “what if”s, Mia pushed doubt aside, went all-in and opened her shop. Once folks tried Ichigo Tokyo Crepes, they fell in love and kept coming back for more. The Ichigo Tokyo Crepes website is invaluable for Mia— not only does it let folks know what her hours and offerings are, but it also shows people what Tokyo-style crepes actually are. Her GoDaddy website allows her to control all that and more with an easy-to-use website builder. Her advice for other entrepreneurs? Trust yourself. Set small goals, because that’s what leads to the big ones.
The Wonders of Workshops
Reconnecting Humans and Nature with Ironwood Foraging
View Episode
Description Copy: Through private and public workshops, classes, consulting, and work for nonprofits and corporate organizations, Tim helps reconnect folks with the childlike wonder and awe of the outdoors they once experienced as kids. His favorite part of being an entrepreneur? Calling his own shots. He loves deciding when he wants to work, how he wants to do it and what charities he donates his time and resources to. His GoDaddy website has been essential to growing his business, allowing him to accept payments, display his class schedule and share more about the rewards of foraging. This means Tim spends less time coding and more time harvesting mushrooms (safe-to-eat ones, of course.)
Description Copy: Being an entrepreneur requires grit and requires strength, and Cameron and Tia Goff have exactly what it takes. Shortly after getting married, they started Cameron and Tia Photography, a wedding photography business. Their joy and passion for what they do is clear, forming relationships with couples that continue after the wedding to other special life milestones like kids and dogs. Together, Cameron and Tia have learned how to make their photography business stand out from the rest, bringing them so much success that they’ve become a referral-based business. They’ve figured out each person’s ideal role, delegating tasks to the person that’s best at them, which helps them run their business successfully. Without a brick and mortar, their website is their lifeline, and their GoDaddy domain serves as a hub to connect with couples seamlessly during the wedding planning process. For Cameron and Tia, building a business (and life) they love and capturing joy for their clients is true success.
